Deputy President of WASWAC was elected as councilor of Governors of ICIMWB . Prof. Dr. SHR SADEGHI attended the first meeting of the Governing Board of International Center for the ICIMWB that affiliated to UNESCO, and was elected as a member of the Council of Governors
Dr. Seyed Hamidreza Sadeghi, Deputy of WASWAC (World Association of Soil and Water Conservation), attended the first Governing Board Meeting of the International Center for Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions (ICIMWB) and was selected as one of the Governing Board members.
Dr. Seyed Hamidreza Sadeghi, Deputy of WASWAC (World Association of Soil and Water Conservation), participated in the first Governing Board Meeting of the International Center for Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions (ICIMWB) as the representative of WASWAC. This center is affiliated with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and hold the first Governing Board meeting on April 24, 2024, at the Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization.
This meeting was attended by key personnel, including the Deputy Minister and the head of the Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of the country, the Deputy of Research, Education, and Promotion of Agriculture at the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad, as well as senior managers of the organization's headquarters, ambassadors, representatives of member countries, experts, and provincial managers. In this meeting, the mid-term and long-term plans and required budgets for ICIMWB in the current year were discussed and approved.
