The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has prioritized capacity building and support for countries in addressing the impacts of climate change in the context of its responsibilities related to the Paris Agreement. To this end, the climate change glossary, which includes relevant terms, has been made accessible and will be dynamically updated.

The topic of climate change has generated a wide literature in the fields of research, management, planning, and policy-making. Therefore, it is essential for interested parties and stakeholders in both public and private sectors to be familiar with the relevant concepts. In the implementation field, it is also necessary for national representatives attending related conferences and meetings to have a clear understanding of these terms so they can effectively advocate for national demands and follow-ups. Reviewing this glossary is also recommended for students, especially those in fields related to the environment, agriculture, and natural resources.
