Dr. Hamid Nouri's Speech at the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of the International Center in China
Director of the International Center for Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions (ICIMWB) will participate and speak at the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sediment Control.
The International Research and Training Center on Erosion and Sediment Control (IRTSEC) is the firstcenter established by UNESCO and the first international center in the water sector in China. This center is part of the Chinese Institute of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Power Research, which coincides with its 40th anniversary this year (1984-2024). The commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the center's establishment will be discussed from September 23 to 25, 2024, in Beijing. These days will coincide with the 3rd Asia International Water Week (one of the largest water activity platforms in Asia).
According to the center's plans, Dr. Hamid Nouri, Director of the International Center for Integrated Management of Watershed and Bio-Resources in Arid and Semi-Arid Regions (ICIMWB), will speak in the afternoon of the first day of this commemoration about identifying the type and significance of the International Center under his management and developing collaboration between the two centers and other UNESCO-affiliated centers.
